DriveGrid ("we", "us", "our") operates the website through which private sellers and dealers list vehicles for sale, and buyers browse and contact sellers. These Terms of Service govern your use of DriveGrid.
DriveGrid is operated by DRIVE GRID LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17424852, with its registered office at Siu Offices, 4–6 Greatorex Street, London, United Kingdom, E1 5NF. You can contact us at admin@drivegrid.co.uk or via our Contact Us page.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to create an account or list a vehicle. You're responsible for keeping your account details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms. Where an account is suspended, any live listings under that account will also be removed, and any pending buyer/seller conversations may be closed. We'll try to notify you by email where practical.
DriveGrid is used by both private individuals selling their own vehicles and trade dealers selling as part of a business.
If you are a trade dealer, you must identify yourself as such on your listings and account, and you are responsible for complying with consumer protection law that applies to trade sales, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Buyers purchasing from a trade dealer may have statutory rights (such as rights relating to the vehicle's quality, fitness for purpose, and accurate description) that do not apply to private sales. DriveGrid does not verify trader status and is not responsible for a seller's compliance with these obligations.
DriveGrid provides in-platform messaging so buyers and sellers can communicate without publishing personal contact details. Messages should relate to genuine buying or selling enquiries. We may remove messages or restrict accounts that use messaging for spam, harassment, or unrelated advertising.
Messages sent through DriveGrid are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
History checks shown on listings are high-level checks for guidance only, based on standard write-off, theft, and scrap registers. They are not a substitute for a full vehicle history check before you buy. Part exchange availability and criteria are set directly by sellers and are not verified by DriveGrid.
We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that breach these terms, and may report suspected fraud or theft to the relevant authorities.
If you believe a listing is fraudulent, inaccurate, or breaches these terms, you can report it directly from the listing page. Reports are reviewed by our team.
DriveGrid is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any sale between users and don't guarantee the accuracy of listings, the condition of any vehicle, or the conduct of any user. Buyers are strongly encouraged to view a vehicle in person and arrange an independent inspection before purchase.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveGrid's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform (including site errors, downtime, or inaccuracies in listing or history-check data) is limited to the total fees, if any, paid by you to DriveGrid in the 12 months before the claim arose, except where liability cannot be excluded or limited by law (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
We are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between users, including but not limited to disputes over vehicle condition, payment, or delivery.
You agree to indemnify and hold DriveGrid harmless against any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your listings, your conduct on the platform, or your breach of these terms.
If you have a complaint about a transaction with another user, we encourage you to try to resolve it directly with them in the first instance, using the reporting tools available on the listing.
If you are a consumer and cannot resolve a dispute with a trade dealer, you may be able to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or a relevant UK Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Details of the specific ADR scheme trade dealers on DriveGrid are signed up to (if any) will be provided on request.
DriveGrid uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. You can manage your cookie preferences via our cookie banner or browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Any personal data you provide to us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR.
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we'll aim to notify you by email or a notice on the site before they take effect. Continued use of DriveGrid after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
DriveGrid's software, design, branding, and the compilation of listings, reviews, and other content on the platform belong to us or our licensors. This is separate from the licence you grant us over your own content under Section 4, and separate from the copyright in any individual listing.
You must not, and must not permit or assist anyone else to:
The database of listings and related content on DriveGrid is protected as a database in its own right under UK law, in addition to any copyright in its individual contents. Extracting or reusing a substantial part of it without our permission may infringe that right, independently of anything else in these terms.
We may suspend or terminate access for any account reasonably believed to be involved in this kind of activity, and reserve the right to pursue any other remedy available to us.
Questions about these terms can be sent via our Contact Us page.
